   Well, we've finished our second week in Resistencia waiting for our place to be completed in our assigned area of Ibarreta. It's been slow but we are keeping busy as best we can. We don't have any specific assignment here so we take walks, find places to eat, and bug the young missionaries to keep us busy. We have participated in several lessons with the sister missionaries that cover part of this area. They are great at including us whenever possible. 

We have attended two lessons with a young man, Guillermo. He's about 25 and has been interested in learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and our church. He asks great questions that show he is really searching for something in his life, or at the least to find truth. It makes us think about what we are searching for in our lives. What do you search for? Where do you find answers?

In our search for joy and happiness, we have found that it comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ and keeping his commandments. As we enter into covenants with Him we have received joy in our lives and in the lives of our family. The Book of Mormon prophet Lehi taught, "...and men are that they might have joy." We hope you all find joy in your life!

Hopefully, for our next update, we will be in Ibarreta and can share some pictures of our house and the area. But for now, enjoy these pictures from church on Sunday and a really good ice cream shop that we have enjoyed, thrice!! Soon it will be four!

Despedidas and Welcome Home!

  After almost two days of travel we finally made it to our new home in Orem, UT.  As many know, we moved from our beloved home in Hacienda Heights before embarking on our 1 year mission in Argentina and now live in our house in Orem.  Lots and lots of changes have happened and many more to come.  We loved our mission experience and the many friends we made along the way.   Goodbyes Us with Griselda Galvan and her granddaughter Aymar (Estefania).  We spent two days a week with Griselda over the past 3 months teaching her classes to help read and write better and classes in self-reliance.  We will miss her and her family.  This is Carmen. We got to know her over the last year.  She returned to church after several years of inactivity.  She felt a prompting that she needed to come closer to God and responded by returning to church. Adios Queridos!

  Riding into the sunset (the Ibarras) The Ibarras and Elder Ibarra's sister in front of their house This past week we said goodbye to our friends and fellow missionaries, the Ibarra's.  They have been a great example of service and love for us and everyone here.  We will miss them. Wednesday (3/26) was their last day as missionaries. Unfortunately, their trip home to Tucuman, Argentina did not go as planned.  Their car broke down only 20 minutes after leaving.  It was an old car that Elder Ibarra had been trying to fix up so that it would endure the 800 kilometer trip home.  However,  at about 10:00 that morning they called us from the road to say their car would not make it and asked if we could drive them home.  Of course we said, "Yes." It was a very long drive but we enjoyed having a few more moments with them. Argentina Sky

  It's been a long time since we last posted anything but it's not because nothing has happened.  Yes, there are days when we do little and other days when we are busy.  Like many of you who have served full-time missions, we often feel like the days are like weeks and the weeks like days.  In other words, each day seems to pass by slowly but by the end of the week we are amazed that another week has passed by so quickly.  We continue to enjoy ourselves and spending time together working with the church members in Ibarreta.   A couple of weeks ago was  General Conference .  A time for us, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to listen to the Lord's prophet and apostles, along with many other leaders of His church.  We love this time of year to gather with other saints and participate in the conference.  People from all over the world are able to watch the meetings live online in whichever country they resid...
